Coastal Gallery

The coast is very special place for me. I love watching and noticing the rhythm of waves, the tilt of a sail, boats drifting across the harbour. These moments hold a memorable beauty, ever changing and full of energy.
By combining embroidery with impressionistic mark-making, rich paint and a range of textures, I seek to create seascapes that feel both tactile and dreamlike. Threads become waves, grasses, horizons, and fleeting traces of movement. Paint splashes and soft washes echo the spontaneity of sea spray and shifting skies. I want the viewer to lean in, to discover a window onto a remembered shoreline. To share what it feels like to be in the sea, the sand, the wind and the ever-changing light and experiencing this with awe.
